It’s been 4 1/2 years since I went to Disneyland. Disneyland has been open for 60 years. And I’m a 25 year old going on 45 years old with the soul of a 7 year old wearing a Minnie Mouse-inspired dress. The numbers don’t lie.
My grandparents celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary a few weeks ago, and they wanted to do a family reunion at Disneyland for anyone who could go. This was also my husband’s and my first time going as a couple, so naturally it was amazing. But OH MY HECK I’ve never been to Disneyland in the summertime…and I will never go again. Don’t get me wrong; I’m very grateful for the FREE chance we had to go! But man, it was crowded. I was kind of really not prepared for how busy it was…heard the stories, but it didn’t really become real until I experienced it for myself. Nevertheless, it was all so much fun.
Monday was like a dream: we got on all the rides in less than 20 minutes; the ride attendant for Space Mountain gave us a free FastPass ticket (which had a general wait-time of 80 minutes); Bengal Barbecue was quick and delicious; and we spent time with my family and grandparents at dusk. Tuesday was NUTS: we waited in line on average 45 minutes; we only got 1 FastPass the entire day (Indiana Jones), but it broke down (which was okay because we got on Single Rider right before, and we got a free FastPass for any ride in the park); and the humidity level was 85 DEGREES. So all in all, it was a pretty awesome/successful trip.
Ever since Cinderella came out back in March, I’ve been wanting to do a “fashion series” of modern Disney Princess outfits. So this is the 1st post for said proposed series! I’m really excited to do this project. It may seem lame and a waste of time, but I don’t have a job and need something to do…and that makes me sound like a total tool. Oops. ANYWAYS, stay tuned for upcoming outfits!
